Cards and gifting business Carte Blanche Greets Ltd has issued a product recall on Me to You Cushions after they presented a serious risk of fire.

In a notice by the Office for Product Safety and Standards, the product recall is for a range of Me to You decorative scatter cushion sold in various designs.

The products originate from China and include 13 designs within the recall. They were sold from a number of independent retailers across the UK as well as Amazon, Card Factory, Clintons, Tesco, Grattans and WH Smith.

“Affected products have been identified as presenting a risk of fire, as they do not meet the required fire safety standards,” the statement said.

“The products do not meet the requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

“The products have been recalled from end users by Carte Blanche Greets Ltd. Owners are advised to stop using affected products immediately and return them to the retailer where the product was purchased for a full refund.”
