Jenn Ferrier, Head of Marketing at independent marketing agency Boutique, reflects on another successful Home & Garden Conference.
As an independent marketing agency, Boutique has spent over a decade partnering with brilliant brands across the Home & Garden sector – helping them grow through smart, joined-up marketing across Media, PR, Digital and Social. Our passion for the category led us to launch B@HOME: a dedicated platform created to bring brand marketers together, share knowledge, and spark new connections.
This June, we hosted our fourth annual Home & Garden conference – which is the highlight of our B@HOME events calendar. Now firmly established as the event to look forward to in the sector, it brought together a full house of brand marketers, retailers and industry thought-leaders to share knowledge, discuss key trends, and make new connections.
What makes our conference truly unique is its pure focus on learning and sharing-completely free from sales pitches. With a laser-sharp spotlight on Home & Garden category, it’s no surprise that many brands returned for their second, third – even fourth – time.
This year’s line-up didn’t disappoint. We were captivated by Stephen Johnson from Quooker, who took us on a journey from one tap to a multimillion-pound business. Ashley Hainsworth from Bed Kingdom brought energy (and humour) into the room before lunch, sharing the highs, lows and lessons of growing an online retail brand.
We also heard from Hearst, who shared fresh insights into today’s Home consumer, and enjoyed panel sessions featuring Karndean, Mattress Online, Future, Channel 4, and interior designer and finalist on Interior Design Masters Siobhan Murphy.
We also had sessions from our very own Sophie Cork, who unveiled findings from our bespoke ‘Changing Minds, Changing Rooms’ research, while Simon Bollon, opened the day with a thought-provoking session on the potential for a new Home & Garden boom.
Post-conference feedback has been overwhelming, with an NPS score of 69, 100% of attendees saying they would return, and an overall rating of 4.7/5.
Here’s what some of them told us:
- “Every brand has similar challenges… but knowing your audience provides the answer to a lot of those…”
- “The power of storytelling…”
- “The community… connecting with like-minded people from across the industry.”
- “Great to hear from a range of different brands and media owners – helps to broaden our thinking…”
- “The changing landscape of home renters…”
- “The importance of trying new channels to build the brand without relying on Google and Meta”
What a day and what a community. We’re already cooking up ideas for an even bigger and better B@HOME in 2026. Mark your calendars – tickets will be available this September.
