JYSK grows sales in Ireland due to store rollout

Danish furniture retailer JYSK has reported a growth in sales within its Irish market, although profit declined.

According to its latest trading update for the 12 months ended August 2024, total sales rose 17% to €69.6m from €59.5m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at €3.02m, down from €3.68m in 2023.

JYSK said that the rise in revenues can be attributed to the continued store expansion in the Irish market, including the opening of two new stores, continued growth in online and the improvement in operations in existing stores.

The company recently opened a new store on Tullamore Retail Park in Cloncollog, bringing its total number of Irish stores to 27 across the country.

“As JYSK continues to grow its footprint in Ireland, this latest opening brings the total number of stores across the country to 27, with locations from Letterkenny to Thurles offering customers even more opportunities to experience the brand’s unique style and great value,” JYSK said.
