Family run carpet retailer Nuttall & Betchley Carpets has confirmed plans to close as the owner has decided to retire.

The business, which has been established for almost 40 years, will close its store on Anglesea Street in Ryde on the Isle of Wight at the end of the month.

The owner, John Betchley, has decided the time is right to retire and paid a special thanks to all of their “loyal customers and support over the years”. He plans to spend more time with his family and grandchildren in retirement.

The retailer is currently holding a closing down sale and will officially close its doors on 31 March 2023.
