Office furniture business expands into US market

Sustainable focussed office furniture manufacturer Flokk has announced it plans to enter the US market.

The Norwegian-based business, which owns two American subsidiaries – 9to5 Seating and Stylex, which was acquired back in January 2024, said it will officially launch Flokk US and has structured a team to lead the expansion.

Flokk has appointed Frederik Fogstad as CEO, Randi Pastrovic as chief creative officer and Rich Oliver as chief commercial officer. All three will oversee North American operations with Frederick already being part of the Flokk business since 2013.

Randi and Rich both join from subsidiaries Stylex and 9to5 Seating respectively.

Flokk said that this leadership team will bring “valuable global insights and a deep understanding of our portfolio’s brand identities” as the brand expands in the US.

It is expected that the expansion will become Flokk’s largest revenue stream with around 90% of sales already sourced outside of its native Norway. For the UK, Flokk sales represent over £20m.
