Discount department store retailer The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) has confirmed it plans to close its store in Salcombe.

The store on Island Street will close during March 2023 after the landlord said it is looking to redevelop the site.

TOFS said it is aiming to redeploy colleagues that have been affected by the closure by finding alternative stores with its nearest branch being in Plympton.

A statement from TOFS confirmed: “As the landlord is looking to redevelop this site, it means that unfortunately we have been served notice to exit the lease at our Salcombe store in March next year.”
