BFM issues reminder to enter The Future of Furniture awards

The BFM is encouraging its members to get their award entries ready for its new The Future of Furniture Awards.

The trade body is launching its new campaign to celebrate steps towards sustainability and highlight careers in the sector at the January Furniture Show.

As part of the initiative, two accolades recognising the work of BFM members will be presented at the show – the BFM Future of Excellence in Sustainability Award and the BFM Excellence in Education Award.

BFM members have until Wednesday 11th January to enter the awards, with applications requiring a few brief details as well as a straightforward overview of their work in sustainability or education and training.

Joanna Audley-Charles, BFM’s Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “We appreciate many member companies are closing for the Xmas break, but jotting down a few ideas or writing some bullet points now will help to complete a submission quickly when they return in January.

“The Future of Furniture aims to highlight the value and variety of careers within the industry, as well as showcasing the steps the industry is taking to support a greener approach to manufacturing.

“Launching the campaign at the January Furniture Show will be a great opportunity for members to kick-off 2023 and we’d urge them to support the initiative and help drive wider recognition for the sector in the important areas of sustainability and career opportunities.

“The winners will be announced at the show, and we’ll capture the moment on video and with photography to amplify the result across different channels.”
